Channel Masking

Here’s a little channel masking tutorial I came up with. Of course there are many of ways of doing everything in photoshop, including masking. There are even plug-ins that can do a reasonable job of masking parts of images automatically. Sometimes though, you’ll come across elements in an image with very fine or intricate edges and masking isn’t so easy in the traditional way. That’s where channel masking comes in. There’s nothing new under the sun and most of what I know about photo editing in photoshop I’ve learned by reading and talking to others who know a lot more about it than I do. Just passing along some of what I’ve learned here. Let me know what you think.
