Time Out

Another shot from Easter weekend with the Nikon 70-300mm. This is Kim taking a break during volleyball. I spent about an hour just sitting on the porch and snapping away and I got a few decent shots. I really like the pose and the look on her face in this one. As far as processing goes, I got the vintage look using Color Match with a heavy vignette in Photoshop and then adding Topaz’s Color Exposure Stretch filter. The filter created a lot more contrast and drama in the image.

A.Barlow - Yeah, nice pose on this one. The light looks nice too.

Justin - That’s cool lens, I’m glad you are diggin’ it. My main 2x body kit now is the D700 w/ 24-70 and the D7000 w/ 70-300. I then carry a 20mm and 15mm fish and that’s about it.

I’ll email you a map about this weekend. I’m thinking about spending all of Monday exploring UC San Diego and then making our way to this place.
