Painting in the Dark

Another one from Santa Monica Pier. I was in a hurry here and I didn’t catch exactly what this guy was doing. He was painting little scenes or designs, but I’m not sure what they were for. Anyway, what caught my eye was the small crowd around his table and the light illuminating their faces.
