Monthly Archives: August 2011 Semiahmoo is a small spit of land that extends out from the mainland into Drayton Bay in Blaine, Washington. They’ve got a beautiful marina there (which is where I got several of the previous shots). Semiahmoo also has its own official water tower. I’m not sure if it’s actually used anymore. It looks pretty old...  Woke up this morning with the urge to process something to death. So, here it is! This is from the photowalk in Monterey, CA with Trey Ratcliff back in April. Actually, it’s from the morning following the photowalk. I used yet another one of Dyrk Wyst’s textures on this. One thing I’ve figured out is,...  I will have to admit to being an HDR junkie. If somebody doesn’t stop me, I almost always shoot at least 5 brackets at the wide end of my 16-35mm and it doesn’t much matter what the subject is. I guess you could say it’s a compulsion. I can’t escape the feeling that I’m missing...  Another version of a previous shot at a different angle and time of day. I probably overshot this thing but you tend to do that when you come across something you don’t see everyday. Also, I think sometimes it’s a good idea to try and not get your whole subject in the frame. Hopefully...  Somebody placed these chairs right down at the edge of Birch Bay. Looks like they had been there for a while. I had been up and down this road quite a few times and had planned to get a shot when the light was right. I was just sure somebody would have themselves firmly planted... |
